Game Technology Solutions (GTS)
Game Technology Solutions, or GTS as it’s more commonly known, is a casino software developer that is currently owned by Playtech. GTS is also a global supplier of gaming solutions means for i-TV boxes and the online casino community.
Unlike most casino software companies, GTS don’t develop games to be released under their own name but instead partner with some of the biggest software companies in the industry. The games they develop together are then usually branded under the other software company. Some of these companies include IGT, Ash Gaming, Leander Games, NextGen Gaming, Dynamite Idea and Cryptologic.
GTS is currently based in Suffolk, England and was founded back in 2005 although they have roots dating back to 1995. Games developed by GTS can be found in some well known online casinos such as Unibet, Mr Green, Paddy Power Games, Bet365 Games, 888 Casino, Bwin and Betfair Arcade.
GTS Online Casinos:
The most important part of GTS’s services is their Enhanced Gaming Engine (EdGE). This platform is provided to all their casino operators to integrate all the games GTS has developed with their software partners. To date they have over 300 games supported by EdGE.
Some of the games categories included are table games, slots, card games, Bingo, soft games and Keno. Additional services they offer include special promotion management, account management and more.
The games from GTS are available to be downloaded to desktop or they can also be played directly online using instant play. This means that their games are compatible with all major browsers and operating systems, although they don’t currently have any mobile offerings.
GTS offers a few progressive jackpots although the most famous progressive jackpot games they offer are Monopoly, Cluedo and Cleopatra. These games use a common jackpot so whenever a player spins any one of these games, the jackpot will be increased. The jackpot starts at $1.5 million and can grow to incredible heights.
GTS also features a unique slot game named Slot Box. Instead of the usual slot format we’ve come to know, this game doesn’t feature any reels but instead functions similarly to a horizontal version of Tetris. This may be a strange game format but it has proven to be highly popular and shows that there is still a market for diverse games.
As for the regular slot games from GTS, they have a vast number of titles that have gained increasing popularity over the years. Here are a few examples of their most popular games.
300 Shields is a game with an ancient Spartan theme. It is also loosely based on the Hollywood blockbuster, 300. 300 Shields feature 25 paylines across 5 reels and has been developed in collaboration with NextGen Gaming. Symbols in the game stay true to the theme and includes Spartan warriors, arrows, swords, ships and more. The game also has a Battle Feature bonus game which awards the player with 5 free spins and a 2x multiplier. However, collecting shield symbols during this game increases the multiplier up to a potential 300x. Even better is the ability to re-trigger the free spins.
Snakes and Ladders turns the age old family board game into a highly lucrative slot game. The graphics in this game may be simpler than some of their other offerings but this is compensated for with wonderfully entertaining gameplay. This slot game has a bonus feature where players will attempt to get to the end of the Snakes and Ladders board and attempt to get the highest multipliers on offer. Players will also enjoy a free spins feature that offers a varying number of spins depending on the number of scatter symbols that were used to unlock the feature.
Monopoly Mega Jackpots is another board game based slot game but this one offers the chance to win a huge progressive jackpot which makes it even more alluring. This one of course is built on Monopoly, the famous property trading board game that challenges players to build a property empire and bankrupt their fellow players. This game offers 5 reels and 9 paylines. It contains symbols from the game too such as cash and a range of properties. Even Mr. Monopoly will show up from time to time to help players along. The game features a wild symbol as well as two bonus symbols that unlock two bonus rounds.
First is the Pass Go Bonus. Pass Go and collect $200 must be one of the best phrases from any board game. During this feature though the player will be given a number of dice to roll to move their character around the Monopoly board. As players travel around the board they’ll collect varying bonuses as well as an increasing multiplier each time they pass Go.
Finally we have the Win Spin bonus. When enough Chance symbols appear this feature will present players with a number of free spins. Each spin will keep going until a winning combination appears or it will automatically award 10x the bet at the 7th unsuccessful spin.
